Worked on different aspects of soil viz. "Physico chemical studies of soil under natural forests as well as plantations of western Himalayas, Soil plant relationship, Impact on soil properties of raising monoculture plantations, post afforestation influences on soil properties and moisture regime, Impact of grazing on soil properties, Assessment of soil quality indicators for different forest stands, Efficiency of organic vis-a-vis chemical fertilizer in improving the productivity of sodic soils”, “Use of industrial waste in bio-rejuvenation of sodic soil”, “Impact assessment of bio-rejuvenation on sodic soils, etc. Pioneer work done on Soil organic carbon under different land uses, forest covers, etc. in Uttarakhand, Himachal Predesh and Haryana. Conducted research work on various projects related to climate change including National Communication to UNFCCC. I was the active member of the team of various International projects, Consultancy projects, etc.
